
Tristan Hammond
Tristan holds a BA Honours degree in Geography from the University of the Western Cape (UWC), completed in 2025, with specialisation in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and Environmental Management. His academic background provides a strong foundation in spatial analysis, environmental processes, and sustainable resource management.
Tristan joined SEC in 2025 and currently serves as the Lead Technician for the Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) Department. In this role, he is responsible for planning and undertaking GPR surveys, locating underground services, interpreting subsurface data, and supporting the delivery of accurate and reliable geophysical information to clients and project teams. He plays a key role in the continued development and operation of SEC’s GPR capabilities.
In his spare time, he enjoys cooking, exploring new cuisines, and spending time outdoors through activities such as hiking and camping.
